Field Team is the subset of your people who do the work on site, with the two permissions that matter for how a job runs.
Bookable online
Whether a customer can pick this person when booking themselves.
Worth being deliberate about. Online booking is a genuine convenience and it removes your ability to sequence the day — a customer choosing their own slot does not know that the job before it is forty minutes away. Most businesses do best with some of the team bookable and some scheduled by hand.
Can take payment
Whether this person can collect on site.
Payment at completion is the largest single improvement available to days to get paid, and it is entirely within your control. An invoice sent afterwards enters a process at the customer's end; a card taken at the door does not.
The reason to restrict it is trust and training rather than technology, which is a decision per person rather than a policy.
Jobs run by more than one person
Where a job has a crew on it, every person assigned is credited, and each is credited with a share rather than the whole job. Two people on one job is half a job each; three is a third each. Revenue splits the same way.
This matters for reading the numbers. Job counts per person will not add up to your total job count when crews are common, and they are not meant to — the shares add up to the job, and the job is only counted once. A number that ends in .5 before rounding is a crew job, not an error.
Counting the whole job against everyone on it would be the alternative, and it inflates the company total by however much you crew up. Crediting only the first name on the job is the other alternative, and it makes a second technician look idle while they work all week. Neither is worth the tidier column.
The names come from who is actually assigned to the job in your field software. Where nobody is assigned, the job has no one to credit and does not appear in the per-person figures at all, which is worth knowing if a technician looks quieter than they were.
What it feeds
Hours worked against hours scheduled becomes technician utilization, and labor attached to jobs becomes job costs — which is what makes margin per job answerable at all.
Both depend on time being recorded against the job rather than against the week.

The field team is drawn from your people records, so somebody appears here once they exist in the directory and are marked as working in the field.
