Sage Business Cloud Accounting can be connected as your accounting system, in the same role QuickBooks Online fills for businesses that use that instead.
Steps
- Open Integrations and choose Sage Accounting.
- Sign in to Sage and authorise access.
- Pick the company to connect if your Sage login has more than one.
What connecting adds
Your bank connection already shows money moving. Sage adds the layer underneath it: invoices, bills, customers, vendors and the categories you have been filing things under.
The practical difference is that money in the bank becomes money attributable. A deposit is a deposit; a deposit matched to an invoice is revenue from a named customer, on work done in a known month.
That is also what makes an accrual view possible at all — see cash and accrual.
It feeds the same ledger
Sage does not become a second set of books. Everything it reports lands in the same unified ledger as your bank, your card processing and your field service system, and where two sources describe the same event they are counted once.
Reports are built from that ledger rather than lifted from Sage. Sage's own figures are used as a second opinion, and where the two differ, the difference is shown to you.
Access and data
You authorise Omnyra through Sage's own sign-in. Omnyra never sees or stores your Sage password, and the authorisation can be revoked from inside Sage at any time, which cuts access immediately without touching anything already imported.
The connection reads your accounting data. It does not write back to Sage, so nothing Omnyra does can alter your books.
Which to connect
One accounting system is enough. If you use both Sage and QuickBooks for different entities, connect the one that governs the business this workspace represents — see workspaces.
