It follows the Instagram account
Threads accounts are Instagram accounts, so whichever one is set up there is the one available here. If Instagram will not connect, Threads generally will not either, and the fix is the same — see Instagram.
Worth knowing before you post
It is a text-first platform, so the post that works here is closer to the one written for X than the one written for Instagram. Posts are adjusted per platform rather than duplicated — see the content plan.
What you are handing over
Permission to post to the connected account and read its own post figures. Nothing on a personal Facebook profile, and no messages.
Your password is never given to Omnyra. Sign-in happens with Meta, which reports back only whether the connection was approved, and approval can be withdrawn in Meta's settings as well as by disconnecting here.
If it stops working later
Meta expires the permission periodically and reconnecting restores it — see a connection stopped.
