Social accounts are connected from the Technology area, not from Marketing. Marketing publishes to whatever is already connected.
Steps
- Open Technology.
- On the Overview tab, select Connect.
- Choose the platform and sign in with that provider when prompted.
- If the account manages more than one page or profile, pick the one to use.
The connection is made against the account you are signed in as, so sign in as the account that actually owns the page rather than a personal profile that merely has access.
Facebook and Instagram
These two account for most connection problems, and the cause is almost always on Meta's side rather than Omnyra's.
You need to be an admin of the Facebook Page, not an editor or a moderator. Being an admin of the business is not the same as being an admin of the Page, and this is the single most common reason a connection appears to succeed but no page is offered.
An Instagram account must be a business or creator account and linked to the Facebook Page. A personal Instagram account cannot be posted to by any third-party tool.
Both of those are Meta settings, changed in Meta's tools rather than here:
- Page roles and permissions on Facebook (Meta)
- Meta Business Suite help (Meta)
Google Business Profile
Verification, ownership disputes, and suspensions are Google's process and are resolved in Google's own tools. Once the profile is verified and you have access, connecting it here is the same as any other platform.
If a connection stops working
Connections expire when a password changes, when access is revoked on the platform's side, or when the platform requires re-authorisation. The fix is the same in every case: reconnect from Technology. Reconnecting does not lose scheduled posts.
