What it asks for
Your handle — the full one, as it appears on your profile.
An app password — not your account password.
App passwords are not your password
Bluesky lets you generate a separate password for each tool you connect, in its own settings. That is what to paste here.
The reason to use one, rather than your real password, is that it can be revoked on its own. Removing Omnyra's access later is then a single action on Bluesky's side that affects nothing else you use, and your actual password never leaves Bluesky.
If you paste your account password instead, the connection is refused.
What you are handing over
Permission to post as the connected handle, and to read that account's own post figures.
Your Bluesky account password is never given to Omnyra — that is the whole point of an app password. The one you paste here can be revoked on Bluesky at any time without changing your real password or affecting anything else you have connected.
Why this one is different
Bluesky's sign-in works differently from the other platforms', so it is entered directly rather than approved in a window. Nothing else about posting changes.
If it stops working later
An app password that has been revoked on Bluesky's side stops working immediately, which is the intended behaviour. Generate a new one and connect again — see a connection stopped.
