What Operations shows for your field service system

Operations gains a view for whichever field service system you connected, and that view uses that system's own vocabulary rather than translating it.

This is deliberate. Your team already knows what the words mean where they work all day, and renaming them here would mean learning a second set of names for the same things.

ServiceTitan

Jobs and Appointments — the work, and the scheduled slots against it. One job can carry several appointments.

Customers and Locations — who the work is for, and the addresses it happens at. A customer with four properties is one customer and four locations, which is what makes property managers and multi-site clients read correctly.

Estimates and Invoices — what was quoted and what was billed.

Memberships — recurring service agreements. Worth watching more closely than the rest, because membership revenue is the most predictable income a service business has, and predictable income is what makes revenue consistency and borrowing possible.

Jobber

Jobs and Visits — the work, and each time somebody attends. A job needing three visits is one job.

Clients — Jobber's word for customers.

Quotes and Invoices — the same pair, named the way Jobber names them.

Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro's data appears through the main Operations tabs rather than a separate view. See Housecall Pro.

Why the visit and appointment counts matter

Both systems separate the work from the number of times somebody turns up, and that gap is where scheduling capacity is decided.

A month with 40 jobs and 60 visits needs half again as much calendar as the job count suggests. Planning on jobs alone runs the schedule short, which shows up as overtime rather than as a planning miss. See multi-visit job rate.

What is the same either way

Whatever your system calls things, the money side is shared: jobs meet costs and invoices in the same ledger, so job margins answer the same question regardless of which system the work came from.
