Marketing operations is an alternative layout of the workspace for businesses whose main question is where demand comes from rather than where money went.
The five views
Advertising — spend and results by campaign.
Traffic — visitors arriving, and by which route.
Search rankings — position for the terms the business wants to be found on.
Attribution — which source produced which enquiry. The method, and its limits, are set out in marketing attribution.
Financials — the accounting view, kept alongside so that spend can be read against revenue rather than in isolation.
Why it is a separate layout
Placing financials beside advertising is the point. Ad spend judged on its own produces cost per lead with nothing to weigh it against; judged against revenue it produces return on ad spend, which is the number that decides whether to spend more.
Availability
This layout is applied per workspace. A workspace not configured for it opens the standard Business Operations Center instead.
