Tax documents and packages

Packages assemble your financial records into one document for a specific audience.

The three kinds

Tax filing — what your accountant asks for every year, gathered in one place rather than reconstructed from email.

Audit defence — the records and the trail behind them, for a situation where "here are my numbers" is not enough and "here is where each number came from" is.

Loan package — what a lender wants when assessing the business.

Generating one

Choose the type and the period. The package is built, validated, and available as a document to download.

Validation runs first and is the part worth paying attention to. If something is inconsistent — figures that do not tie, periods that do not reconcile — it is surfaced before the package is produced rather than discovered by the person you handed it to.

Why this is worth doing before it is needed

Every one of these three is requested under time pressure. Tax deadlines, a loan decision, a letter from the revenue authority. None of them arrive during a quiet week.

Generating one now, when nothing depends on it, does two things: it tells you what state your records are actually in, and it means the version produced under pressure is the second one rather than the first.

What it does not do

It does not file anything and it does not give tax advice. It assembles records. What is owed, what is deductible and what position to take are questions for your accountant, and no software substitutes for that conversation.

See tax reserve for setting money aside and tax preparedness for whether you are on track.
